Accident Assist Program

If you are involved in an accident, your first call should be to our accident assist centre to help you get back on the road as soon as possible.

Our Specialist team will provide you with a professional and personal touch when it comes to dealing with a motor vehicle accident. We want to ensure that you have minimal inconvenience during this period.

Our Complimentary Accident Assist Program provides:

✓ Repairer recommendations - repairers that only use genuine parts.

✓ If the accident wasn’t your fault, we’ll arrange:

  • Recovery of your vehicle, if not roadworthy, to one of our ‘Preferred Smash Repairers’.
  • An Uber home if your vehicle is not driveable.
  • A replacement vehicle* for the duration of the repair. Where possible the replacement vehicle will be comparable with your damaged vehicle.
  • Delivery and pick up of the replacement vehicle to/from your preferred location*
  • Deal with any third party inquiries on your behalf, including contact from Insurance Companies. Our specialists are in the best position to provide the required information and remove the inconvenience.

✓ If the accident was your fault, we can provide a replacement vehicle at a competitive rate for guests of Phil Gilbert Motor Group. If you have cover in your insurance policy, we may be able to recover the costs directly from your Insurer.

Accident Checklist

  1. Activate the vehicles hazard lights, stay off the road and keep calm.
  2. Check to see if anyone is injured and give or call for assistance - 000.
  3. Do not accept liability or exchange in any accusations.
  4. Use the attached form to exchange details with the other driver and ensure this information is accurate.
  5. Take a photo of the form and email it to claims@compasscorp.com.au
  6. Immediately call our 24 Hour Accident Assist line on 1300 652 379

It is always best to take plenty of photos of the accident site (BUT ONLY WHEN SAFE TO DO SO)

  • Take photos of the accident scene.
  • Ensure you photograph all damage to your vehicle and the third party vehicle.
  • Photograph the number plates of the vehicles.
  • If the driver allows it, photograph their drivers licence.
