We've been manufacturing cars in Australia for over 40 years, and in that time, we've had our fair share of ground-breaking industry firsts. From the first Australian-built AWD sedan and first locally made V6 engine, to the first manufacturer to introduce independent rear suspension.

Now we have a new first: Australia's best new vehicle warranty. We are so confident in the quality of our product that we're prepared to back ourselves with the introduction of a 5-10 warranty on ALL new passenger and light commercial vehicles, as well as a 5 year Perforation Corrosion Warranty. This is by far the longest and most generous vehicle warranty offer in the Australian market, and is sure to give you and your family peace of mind. When you buy any Mitsubishi vehicle, you know you'll be taken care of well after the car leaves the showroom.

Establishing a world class vehicle assembly plant

Our Australian assembly plant has just celebrated its 40th anniversary. Right now we're investing hundreds of millions of dollars to ensure this plant is not just Australia's best, but world class.

One of the most exciting improvements is the installation of Australia's largest panel press. With an investment of over $40 million in the new press, we're able to build an entire car side from just one piece of steel. For our consumers, this means an end product that has a more rigid chassis and far greater strength.

With such an investment in technology, also comes greater production flexibility. The addition of over 100 new manufacturing robots combined with our new Robot Vision System, gives us the capability to build anything from a small hatchback, to a full sized 4WD all on the one line. So when it comes to our "Better Built" claim, it's something we can stand confidently behind. At Mitsubishi, we're not just planning to survive, we're planning to expand.
